A Year in Germany
For the 1993-1994 school year, I became a teaching intern at the Munich International School.
I learned to teach, to organize a class, to write tests, to grade homework, and all sorts of useful skills. In the evenings, I took karate. Unfortunately, despite some lessons while I was there, what I did not learn was German.
While in Germany, I travelled a lot, visiting Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Casablanca, Spain, England, Ireland, Wales, and many others. I concluded my year with a 36 hour marathon train trip from Hungary to Wales (with a few ferrys included).
